Sneaky Santa

Guidelines

How Sneaky Santa works.

A short guide to who we help and how to nominate a family well.

01

Who we help

  • ✦Local families facing real hardship this season — job loss, illness, loss of a loved one, housing trouble, or unexpected costs.
  • ✦Single parents, grandparents raising grandkids, and families who simply can't make Christmas happen this year.
  • ✦Families with children are prioritized, but every nomination is considered.
02

What makes a strong nomination

  • ✦Share the family's situation honestly and in your own words.
  • ✦Include the number of kids, ages, sizes, and interests if you know them.
  • ✦List what would help most — gifts, groceries, clothing, or essentials.
  • ✦A way to reach the family (or you) helps us follow through.
03

Privacy & secrecy

  • ✦Every nomination is kept confidential and seen only by our volunteer team.
  • ✦You may nominate anonymously.
  • ✦We never post a family's name or story publicly without their permission.
04

What families can expect

  • ✦Not every nomination can be fulfilled — we help as many as donations allow.
  • ✦If selected, a family may be contacted discreetly to confirm details.
  • ✦Help is a gift. There are no strings, no repayment, and no obligations.
05

Please don't

  • ✦Nominate yourself or your own household — ask a friend to nominate you instead.
  • ✦Submit the same family more than once.
  • ✦Share private information you were told in confidence without care.
